Everyone in live streaming is copying the same three features. We went the other direction. Battle Pals is a full game economy built inside a live stream. Viewers create a character, choose its features and its outfit, and level it up over time. Up to three per person. Free and premium cosmetics. Powers that carry between battles. When it goes live it takes over the whole screen. The creators sit in circles at the top overlooking their side, and their room's Pals do the fighting. Three a side, marked at random, five seconds to act. The part I care about most is the fairness rule we locked in. Rank never buys damage. It buys options. Every game is scored as a fraction of the room, not a raw total, so a room of 40 can beat a room of 4,000 by playing better. That single decision is what keeps it a game instead of a leaderboard for whoever spends most. We are testing it standalone before a single line of it touches production. If it is not better than what people already play, it does not ship. Helm. Live, but worth watching.
