Community Guidelines

Last updated: June 8, 2026 · These rules apply to everyone, every account type.

Helm was built on a simple idea: people first. These guidelines exist to keep Helm a place where real people can connect, create, and build a following without algorithmic manipulation, harassment, or exploitation. We enforce them firmly, fairly, and transparently.

The five pillars. Be real. Be kind. Keep kids safe. Keep it clean. Build, don’t break.
1

Be real

One person, one account. No bots. No impersonation. Show up as yourself.

2

Be kind

Disagree without dehumanizing. No harassment, no doxxing, no targeted hate.

3

Keep kids safe

Adults treat kids on Helm with the protection they deserve. Period.

4

Keep it clean

No porn. No graphic violence. No exploitation. Helm is not an adult platform.

5

Build, don’t break

Don’t spam, scam, or game the system. Add value to the community.

What’s not allowed

Child safety

Zero tolerance. Any content that sexualizes, exploits, or endangers minors is reported to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and law enforcement. We permanently ban offenders and preserve evidence.

Violence and dangerous behavior

Harassment and bullying

Hate speech

Adult content

Helm is not an adult platform. Pornography, sexually explicit content, prostitution and escort solicitation, and adult industry recruiting are all prohibited, regardless of the account type.

Spam, scams, and manipulation

Illegal activity

Intellectual property and misinformation

What we allow and celebrate

Real conversations on hard topics. You can talk about politics, religion, controversial science, sensitive personal experiences, and unpopular opinions. Disagreement is healthy. Dehumanization is not.
Creative freedom. Art, comedy, satire, music, fan creations, journalism, and education are all welcome. We don’t shadow ban for opinions we disagree with.
Kid voices. Kid Creator accounts let young people build a real following safely. Encourage them. Mentor them. Don’t exploit them.
Brands and creators connecting honestly. Sponsored content is welcome when properly disclosed.

How we enforce

When content or behavior violates these guidelines, we may:

Every moderation action is logged with the human moderator’s identity, the reason, and a snapshot of the content before and after. Affected users can request the log entry on their account.
