Community Guidelines
Helm was built on a simple idea: people first. These Community Guidelines keep Helm a place where real people, families, creators, and brands can connect and build a following without manipulation, harassment, or exploitation. They apply to everything you post and do on Helm, including posts, comments, messages, live streams, profiles, and gifts. They are part of our Terms of Service, and breaking them can lead to enforcement action.
Be real
One person, one account. No bots. No impersonation. Show up as yourself.
Be kind
Disagree without dehumanizing. No harassment, no doxxing, no targeted hate.
Keep kids safe
Adults treat kids on Helm with the protection they deserve. Period.
Keep it clean
No porn. No graphic violence. No exploitation. Helm is not an adult platform.
Build, don’t break
Don’t spam, scam, or game the system. Add value to the community.

12. Extra protections for kids and teens
Kid accounts (under 13) and Teen accounts (13 to 17) get stronger defaults, and everyone on Helm must respect them:
- Kid accounts have restricted messaging, kid-approved content, and family-only live streaming by default, with parental approval and oversight.
- Teen accounts have safer defaults and require parental confirmation.
- No adult may solicit, sexualize, or attempt private off-platform contact with a Kid or Teen account.
- No behavioral or targeted advertising is directed at minors; Helm does not run third-party ads at all.
- Do not encourage a minor to bypass parental controls or misstate their age.
13. Live streaming and virtual gifts
- Live streams must follow every rule on this page, in real time. Hosts are responsible for their streams, including guests and co-hosts.
- No nudity, sexual content, dangerous acts, or harassment on Live.
- Do not use Coins, gifts, or Live features to solicit prohibited content or to coerce, exploit, or pressure anyone, especially minors.
- Kid and Teen live streaming is family-only by default.
14. What we allow and celebrate
15. How we enforce
We use human moderators supported by automated tools. When content or behavior violates these guidelines, depending on severity and history we may:
- remove the content and notify the poster with the reason;
- apply a warning, temporary cool-down, or feature limitation;
- suspend the account for a defined period;
- permanently ban the account and, in serious cases, related accounts; and
- preserve evidence and refer the matter to law enforcement, including NCMEC for child-safety issues.
Serious violations, especially child safety, can result in an immediate permanent ban without prior warning. Moderation actions are logged so they can be reviewed.
16. Reporting and appeals
Use the “Report” button on any post, comment, message, profile, or live stream. For urgent safety concerns, especially involving a minor, email safety@helmsocial.app. If someone is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services first, then notify us.
Appeals
If you believe we made a mistake, email appeals@helmsocial.app with your account email and a brief explanation. We aim to review appeals within 7 business days.
