Lesson 2.5

Everything your fleet changes

The split is the headline. Your gift gallery, your avatar ring and where you sort in the live list all follow it too.

This lesson prepares you to: List everything your fleet controls beyond your split, including where the leaderboard disagrees with it.

Your fleet is more than a percentage

The split is the headline, but your fleet sits behind several other things you see every day.

  • The size of your Gift Gallery. Bronze Anchor unlocks quick and small gifts. Silver Compass adds mascot gifts. Gold Helm adds premium. Sapphire Fleet and Diamond Armada add spectacle. One gift, the North Star, is Diamond Armada only.
  • Your avatar ring. It appears in the feed, in discovery, in explore and on notifications. It travels with you everywhere your face shows up.
  • Where you sort in the live list. Your fleet affects your position when viewers are browsing who is live.
  • The rate on your whole balance. The fleet you hold when you cash out sets the percentage on your entire available diamond balance, not just on the week that earned it.

The Gallery point matters more than it looks. A viewer cannot send you a gift the Gallery does not offer. Moving up does not just raise your cut, it raises the ceiling on what a single supporter is able to send you in the first place.

The chip and the board are allowed to disagree

Here is a detail that confuses people every week, so learn it now.

The weekly leaderboard groups creators by their raw weekly diamonds, not by the stable fleet they hold. Your fleet is a settled state that changes at most once a week. The board is a snapshot of this week's activity.

So on a slow week, a Gold Helm creator can appear on the board grouped with Bronze creators. That creator is still holding Gold Helm. They are still paid at Gold Helm's rate. Nothing has been taken away from them.

Which one is the truth

The chip on your profile is your fleet. The board is this week's activity. They measure different things and they are allowed to disagree.

If you want to know what you are being paid, read the chip. If you want to know how this week is going, read the board.

Putting the track together

Five fleets, set by weekly gifts received. Promotion goes straight to the highest line you beat. Demotion needs two consecutive weeks below half your own floor, and costs exactly one level. Bronze Anchor never drops. Nobody administers any of it.

The only lever you have is real gifts received inside a Monday to Monday UTC week. That is the whole system, and it is the same for every creator on Helm.

Next: battles and power-ups, once the three battle formats are three different formats rather than three names for one.
