This lesson prepares you to: Identify exactly which diamonds move your fleet and which ones pay you without moving it.

Only real gifts count

Your weekly fleet total is not your weekly earnings. It is one specific slice of them.

Only real gifts count toward your weekly fleet total and the weekly leaderboard. That is the whole rule. Everything below still pays you, and it all counts toward your lifetime diamonds, but none of it moves your fleet.

  • Hearts. They do not count toward your fleet.
  • Power-up diamonds. They do not count toward your fleet.
  • Crew subscription revenue. It does not count toward your fleet.
  • Diamonds granted by a Helm admin. Event payouts, prizes and make goods are real payable money. They still do not move your fleet.

This is the single easiest thing on Helm to get wrong. A creator finishes a big week, sees a large diamond number, and expects a promotion at the close. Then the fleet does not change, because most of that number came from Hearts, power-ups or Crew.

So, once more, plainly. Hearts, power-ups, Crew revenue and admin grants pay you. They do not move your fleet. Real gifts move your fleet.

The week is fixed and it is UTC

The week runs Monday 00:00 UTC to the following Monday 00:00 UTC. It does not follow your local time zone and it does not follow your schedule. Convert it once, write it down, and plan around it.

Gifts land in the week they were sent. A gift received at 23:59 UTC on Sunday belongs to the week that is closing. A gift received one minute later belongs to the next one. If you are running a push toward a threshold, know which side of that line you are on.

Nothing here is a penalty

None of the excluded types are penalised. Hearts, power-ups, Crew and admin grants all pay at your normal split and all build your lifetime total. The fleet system simply measures one thing, gifting received, and ignores the rest.

How to read your own week

When you are working out where you will land, do not add up your total diamonds. Add up gifts received between Monday 00:00 UTC and Monday 00:00 UTC, and compare that number to the thresholds in the previous lesson. That figure, and only that figure, is what the weekly close reads.

It is a narrower number than the one you probably watch during a stream. It is usually smaller than you expect. Use the smaller one when you plan, and the close will never surprise you.

Next: why you never have to climb the ladder one rung at a time.
